Preserving information?

If all human religious thought, history, science and knowledge were lost in a cataclysm, what single statement would preserve the most information for the next generation of creatures?

A really long run-on statement summing up all the knowledge humanity has ever possessed?
An edifice based on fundamental mathematic and geometric principles wherin the corners of the building were placed on or near the cardinal directions and the height was proportional to the base?
We came, we saw, we blundered......
(Think about it. If we wiped ourselves out would we want to leave any information behind. If the next lifeform was anything like ourselves, they would simply make the same mistakes with the same knowledge. Not leaving anything behind would enable them to at least make their own mistakes. [yes I realize this is somewhat of a copout answer......but it does bear thinking about]).
we are nowhere and it's now
"Do unto others as you would have them do to you."
Do not be afraid.
If it's supposed to be a single statement that is meant to save the next generation of creatures from our mistakes, I think it would be this:

"Greed was the foundation of our society and pride was its glue; but a house of cards has never lasted."
Learn from your mistakes.
Release your thoughts from the confines of your crania and we can talk.
Hell is other people.
The remote controls the TV.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good formula for E=MC2 must be in want of a wife.
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our souls
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
Well I guess that depends on if the Unified Field Theory has been completed or not. If so that equation might be the most useful thing we could pass on. If not then either "Do unto others as you would have them do to you", "Love one another", or "If you fail to learn from your history you are condemmed to repeat their mistakes".
"You can make fire by rubbing 2 sticks together."

"This is a wheel...."

Time to restart the critical path... Of course, if all this stuff is lost, can our protagonist even read?
Probably the Golden Rule.
"What a great life it would be if everybody left everybody else the hell alone"
